Wells Fargo & Co., UNIX Production Quality Control Proactive critical OS & security patch and security maintenance for over 3000 UNIX servers, serving 200+ Business Units across the enterprise. Extensive Korn shell programming to automate and streamline processes for system builds, account administration, data collection, database updates and security compliance. Installation, maintenance and support of various layered security products: Quest VAS, OpenSSH, VAS, CyberSafe Kerberos AppSuite, Symantec ESM, sudo, Symark PowerBroker. Assisted peer engineering teams with software rollouts, troubleshooting and general UNIX support.

Spearheaded research, tests, pilots, production rollouts and subsequent support of VAS (Quest's Vintela Authentication Services), a leading-edge UNIX PAM authentication product, allowing secure UNIX to Windows Active Directory user authentication via LDAP and Kerberos. Successfully installed/configured VAS client on 3000 UNIX servers (Solaris 8,9,10), Red Hat Linux (4x, 5x), HP-UX (11x), AIX (5x). Removed over 200,000 local accounts and converted all remaining NIS clients to VAS, bringing all major lines of business into compliance with password and account security standards and saving a minimum of 12,000 hours annually in password change management efforts alone. Provided ongoing VAS application support.

Honored with 2 Gold Coins, 15 Service Excellence nominations, 13 On the Spot awards in less than 3 years (2005 - 2007), then bestowed with highest recognition as a 2006 Sales and Service Excellence award winner and sent (May 2007) to an all-expenses-paid trip to a Wells Fargo conference in Hawaii! Each year, the senior executives of the Technology Infrastructure Management organization evaluate and select the top performers for this annual event according to the number and quality of nominations from colleagues and internal customers.

Completed intensive project to ensure all 3500+ supported UNIX servers were patched and prepared for the new 2007 Daylight Saving Time changes (per the U.S. Congress Energy Policy Act of 2005).

Conducted research/reporting for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and passed rigorous OCC (Federal) and internal audits of UNIX patch maintenance in the Bank.
